The Genesis Station
The Genesis Station
One of the largest space stations in this particular Galactic System, home to a wide variety of companies, political embassies, and public service resources. It has become a big center for trade and commerce, similar to a major metropolitan city.
The Station itself is a series of large discs that stack and float above each other and interconnect through a series of localized warp platforms. Other interstellar buildings and stations have over time connected themselves to the station on a more permanent basis. They are all held together by a Gravity Nexus - a device that simulates gravity at the perfect interval to keep a series of interstellar objects in place. This Gravity Nexus is powered by a fragment of The Hunger and also used as a warp gate.
There are various platforms and bays where space ships of all shapes and sizes can dock, do business, and receive repairs.
Many of the folks who work on TGS are permanent residents. Housing is usually set up by whatever company or service you are working for.
The Gyallian Wing
A recently attached portion of the space station dedicated to Gyallian trade operations. It is open to the public, but largely dominated by Gyallians. There is a military base in this wing that is only accessible for those with the proper credentials.
Within the wing there are areas for Gyallians to participate in cultural pass times and events that they would on their home planet. The most notable is Signal of Cinders, a holiday where a group of specialized Gyallians ascend up their super volcano and take readings they can use to predict it's behavior in the coming year. Gyallians get together and await word from these people with a festival.
The second most notable thing is their auditorium for "Arena Games", a sport that presents olympics-style series of challenges to participants. This area is extremely large because it must acomodate Gyallian's full dragon form.
